PERE MARQUETTE
GRAND RAPIDS/ CHICAGO
Amtrak’s Pere Marquette line runs between Grand Rapids and Chicago, round-trip, seven days a week. Rather than battling traffic or struggling with parking spaces, riders on the Pere Marquette line travel along the coast of Lake Michigan in relaxed comfort.
About the Pere Marquette
The Pere Marquette line celebrated her 20th anniversary in the summer of 2004. Travelers are choosing to ride in the comfort of the Pere Marquette more and more: year-to-date ridership is up 11.7%. The Pere Marquette line is well on the way to matching or beating last year’s ridership increase of 22%, which helped Amtrak to attain its highest annual ridership in its 32-year history. These growth rates rival those of other Amtrak train lines nationwide.
Rider Information

Reservations are required to ride the Pere Marquette.

Sandwiches, snacks, and beverages are available for purchase on the train.

Passengers may carry up to two pieces of hand baggage on board the train. There is no checked baggage service.

A wheelchair lift is available at the Grand Rapids and Holland station.

Please, no smoking on the Pere Marquette.

Guests 18 years and older should carry a driver's license, passport or other photo identification.

The New Buffalo station will be relocated to 225 North Whittaker at a date to be announced. When the move is completed, Trains 354, 355, 364 and 365 will provide service to/from New Buffallo. Trains 370 and 371 will not stop. Please contact Amtrak for effective dates.
Currently located at West Washington Street & South Whittaker Street, the New Buffalo stop is marked by a covered shelter and features several payphones.
